I take it they are not referring to 12 Euro when the contract is dealing in millions. By writing Euro first before the number, do I assume it's in the millions or is it some shorthand for a tax percentage or something?

neutral  philgoddard: I don't agree with "an amount equal to" - you could say "the sum of" or just leave it out. Also, you shouldn't capitalise euro and put it before the amount - it's € or EUR.

Explanation:
Could be nominal or symbolic consideration paid for a loss-making company or a tax dodge to keep the tax payable on acquisition or merger to zero.

Otherwise, there's going to be a problem with 1. notarial attestation so certification as a true translation. The London notaries I used to work with refused to change the source numbers, even if patently absurd and 2. guessing what the figure missing is: thousand, hundreds of thousands, million or US billion UK query: thousand million.
