Flemish term or phrase: op het stuk van de belastingen
Last question from these annual accounts. I have come across what appears to be a stock phrase in Belgian accounts, under the heading: BELASTINGEN OP HET RESULTAAT.

[...]en de geraamde belastbare winst, met bijzondere vermelding van die welke voortvloeien uit het tijdsverchil tussen de vaststelling van de boekwinst en de fiscale winst (in de mate waarin het resultaat van het boekjaar op belangrijke wijze werd beinvloed op het stuk van de belastingen).

This last, bracketed bit, gets numerous hits for different Belgian companies, but I don't know what they are referring to with 'op het stuk van de belastingen'.

(the extent to which the profit or loss for the financial year
Explanation:
was affected by taxation matters; or he impact of taxation matters on the profit or loss for the financial year).
Just in pasing: "met bijzondere vermelding van die welke voortvloeien uit het tijdsverchil tussen de vaststelling van de boekwinst en de fiscale winst". This whole bit can be translated as 'with special reference to timing differences'.

agree  Deborah do Carmo: missing home so Afr: uitstekende raad weerens en baie bly om te sien resultaat word vertaal as "wins of verlies" - mense stry nogal met my as ek dit hier doen (vanaf PT)//yeah, I mean in a context like this - spring not in the air in Algarve yet, gloomy!

-> Thank you. Profit or loss cannot always be used as a translation of "resultaat". But when the result is known to be a profit or a loss, English speakers prefer to call it just that.

agree  Paul Peeraerts: "op het stuk van" is inderdaad juridisch jargon, dat meestal door een eenvoudig woordje (door, over, betreffende ...) kan worden vervangen. Baie sonnige groete uit Vlaanderen!
