…and I personally did not mean to offend anybody, nor did I invent the term either; it is just the way language is used sometimes, regardless the ethics. In this instance it would be very helpful to know the target audience. This is hardly an individual sentence but a part of something larger; thus as a translator I would use the tone that the rest of the text / image represent

As the sample translation of the sentence you suggest shows, it's really hard to force UX into this context. Google ("user experience" and drug) and you'll see how uncommon this usage is. You get hits, but none of them (for the first few pages I looked at anyway) are actually using the term to refer to users' exp with the drug unless it's illegal or maybe viagra. And as for your source for the use of "user", scientific articles aren't exactly known for their tact. The sample sentence we were given sounds more like ad copy. Sorry to seem combative...I  would just never let this term go by me in this context without copious (virtual) red ink even if it were the client's preferred term.

Yet another controversy term that was originally used in reference to human-computer interactions. "User Experience" was popularized by Don Norman n 1993 and is now adapted from gas caps on cars to coffee-makers and their effect on the user experience. "User Experience" teams and departments, and the term has assumed a broader meaning.
