Finnish term or phrase: Liuskakaukalo
The term is connected to an airport automation system (Electronic strip system - ESTRIP (sähköliuska). No hits on google whatsoever.
I though about a strip container, but that doesn't make much sense either...

English translation:estrip container
Explanation:
liuska, estrip
kaukalo, container (open tray?)
System can determine default location of estrip container to which estrip goes, transferred automatically or by push button switches.
When estrip container fills up, system shows number of estrips that could not be shown, being reduced in size or partially overlapping.

I'm not sure

Notes to answerer
Asker: Dear Desmond, That's what I thought too, as kaukalo is but a container... Can't think of anything else really... It is just weird why the author used "Kaukalo" instead of another more appropriate word! Additionally, as the text goes further, he also mentions "liuskakotelo", which I think is pretty much the same thing... Thanks anyway!
