disagree  Daryo: I am sure that this doesn't explain anything - "Underlying means Underlying" is not an explanation it's a tautology, sounds to me more like a calque of the meaningless "brexit means brexit"

agree  Daryo: i.e. literally "what is behind" your investment in the Fund // you don't get directly any currencies, you only hold a title to our investment in the Fund, but behind that is the fact that your money was used by the Fund to invest in foreign currencies.
