En este contexto creo que se usa el término sugerido: cuando al encuestado no se le dan opciones sino que que se espera su respuesta.

Le preguntaron por quien votó, sin mas; éste responde la elección que hizo (incluyendo cualquier otro candidato, que el encuestador engloba como 'Otro', 'Prefiere no decir', 'No votó para Senador' y 'Se negó', que es el grupo que es abordado pero no declara nada, diferente de quien prefiere no decir.).

Cuando la encuesta es previa al evento, la respuesta es 'top of the mind', que es un indicador de la preferencia inconsciente del encuestado.

Es importante destacar que en una encuesta, las respuestas son siempre voluntarias; nadie esta obligado a contestar nada; no cabe una traducción literal del término en este contexto.
