No creo que "sofreir" sea lo correcto porque cuando se "sofríe" un alimento queda ligeramente dorado.
Cuando se "rehoga" un alimento se frie ligeramente un alimento para lograr que se embeba de los condimentos utilizados y de la materia grasa. El rehogado se lleva a cabo con pequeñas cantidades de aceite, manteca (mantequilla) u otra sustancia grasa.
Cuando se "wilt" las "spinachs" se les añade una "knob of butter" hasta que se deshaga pero las espinacas no pueden quedar doradas
