Me da que "run out of" no es la expresión que buscaban al redactar el texto en inglés. Si hablamos de tiendas o establecimientos, creo que sería más adecuado "got rid of", que se traduce como "deshacerse de". Quizá tenga más sentido, viendo el contexto hablar de "deshacerse de/cerrar 1000 tiendas" que "agotar(se) 1000 tiendas"
