neutral  Elena Va: А чем не устраивает "концертный рояль"? :) Здесь , скорее всего, именно «grand» и опущено. Но «фоно» на концерте ?? А вот рояль ! :-) Бойтесь поклоняться гуглу, его «секта» часто поводит. :-)

neutral  VASKON: Если переводить "слово в слово", то кажется верно: рояль - это grand piano, а просто "piano" - ф-но. Но фортепиано на концерте? Поэтому скорее рояль. Просто grand piano уже был упомянут ранее, и скорее всего, решили не повторяться, т.к. и так понятно.
