Текст посвящён образованию щелей в бетоне и способам того, как избежать или снизить это явление. Одна из причин образования щелей - теплота гидратации. В этой связи говорится:
"Semi-adiabatic measuring systems, such as a normal commercial ***thermos vessel*** [25] (cf. Fig. 12), are particularly suitable for measuring the behaviour with time of the liberation of heat from a concrete".

Далее также говорится о "hermos vessel trial", в ходе которого определяют "Development of temperature rise (ΔTp) and release of heat of hydratdtion (ΔTHW)".
