chyba 'monopoly' jest tu źródłosłowem głównym. Chociaż kwestia wielkości też tu się pojawia. W całym tekście mowa jest o firmach-potentatach na rynku zbierania danych i nie wiem, czy 'megacentrum' tu by w 100% pasowało. "Monopoliści danych" też nie do końca bo de facto monopolu nie mają...Może "największe firmy zbierające dane"? - wiem, że to niebłyskotliwe, ale może ktoś ma lepszy pomysł.

I take it that poly has its root in metropolis, megapolis, etc. It may be that it has its root in "monopoly", in which case it would be monopol danych.

The velocity in acquiring and exploiting this personal data can help these companies obtain significant market power.
