I found different usage online but none is established.

For example: peta saringan, peta haba, peta panas, or peta bahang.

- In a quick Google search, it yields the most results [35.5 m] far exceeding even the second one which is 'peta haba' [755 k].
- The top Google results show that the term has been used by known and reliable names such as Forex [finance], Microsoft [IT], to name two. I didn't look for usage in engineering context per se, but the context of the usages I mentioned above correspond with the definition of 'heat map' as given here.
- The term is already widely used in Indonesian Malay. I personally don't see the point of creating a new term exclusive for Malaysian Malay, when a term that is easily-understood by both languages already exists and is widely used. It wouldn't be the first term we shared with Indonesia.
