Siccome nell'esempio successivo si parla di una società farmaceutica del Regno Unito il cui status è "public", e non mi risulta che il governo britannico possieda società farmaceutiche, penso che la distinzione non sia tra pubblico e privato all'italiana ma tra publicly traded e privately held companies all'anglosassone. Allora per "public" posso usare "ad azionariato diffuso", ma per "private"? Basta "privato", visto che in relazione all'altro termine si dovrebbe capire?

Immagino sia un problema già noto. Aggiungo che si parla di rating di società varie.

Naturalmente, se si riferisce alla proprietà della farmacia, ha più senso "pubblico o privato"
