What are the important environmental (economic, social, nutritional) drivers and obstacles to breastfeeding and which policies, interventions, and **nudges** are most likely to induce mothers to breastfeed their children? How do these drivers and obstacles differ across cultures and across levels of economic development?

**Nudges** are based on the fact that people’s behaviour is influenced by a multitude of factors that go far beyond direct instruction, price incentives (e.g. subsidies or taxes), legislation and law enforcement. Research in behavioural economics and psychology has shown that **nudges** can be powerful and cost-effective tools of achieving voluntary compliance with socially beneficial goals.

In der Soziologie spricht man auch im Deutschen von "Nudges". "Anstöße" halte ich aber auch für eine passende Übersetzung. Hier vielleicht auch beides: "... und andere Anstöße (so genannte Nudges) ..."

Ich verstehe "nudges" hier so , daß die Frauen dadurch in die richtige Richtung "gelenkt" werden sollen.
