ich übersetze gerade einen Antrag eines homosexuellen Paares, die gerichtlich festhalten wollen, dass sie die rechtlichen Eltern eines durch Leihmutterschaft gezeugten Kindes sind. Hierbei ist auch eine vertragliche Vereinbarung (stipulation) als Beweisstück angeführt, die von einer "Mrs...., esquire, assistant counsel of the Pennsylvania Department of Health" ausgeführt wird.

Wäre "assistant counsel" eine Rechtsberaterin des Gesundheitsministeriums von Pennsylvania? Ist "esquire" einfach nur eine Formsache wie "ehrenwerte/r"...?
