All-Sky-Transit-Satellit (Satellit zur Suche nach Planetentransiten) Explanation: One of the first exoplanet-sensitive space telescopes was the CNES-led Convection, Rotation and planetary Transits mission, CoRoT, which launched in 2006. While focused on studies of stars, it uncovered exoplanets using the transit method. : The most recent addition to the exoplanet-hunting fleet is NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, TESS, launched in April 2018. It is the first all-sky transit survey satellite. http://sci.esa.int/exoplanets/60649-exoplanet-mission-timeli... These will be uncovered through the changes in the star's motion as the planet or planets orbit around it, or by the dip in the star's brightness as the planet transits across its face. : The most recent addition to the exoplanet-hunting fleet is NASA's TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite), launched in April 2018. It is the first all-sky transit survey satellite. https://directory.eoportal.org/web/eoportal/satellite-missio... We evaluate the prospects for an all-sky transit survey targeted to the brightest stars, that would find the most favorable cases for photometric and spectroscopic characterization using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). We use the proposed Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) as representative of an all-sky survey. : We project that TESS will discover about eight nearby habitable transiting super Earths, all orbiting lower-main-sequence stars. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/249143257_Discovery... Driven by the requirement to obtain an all-sky transit survey within a reasonable duration of operation, a single PASS instrument would consist of an array of 15 CCD cameras with short focal length. : Fig.4 Probability Pobs that transiting planets will be detected, in dependence of their orbital period. https://www.google.de/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd... "All-Sky-Transit" würde ich entweder nicht übersetzen: Es ist der erste All-Sky-Transit-Vermessungssatellit. Oder: Es ist der erste Satellit zur Suche nach Planetentransiten. (könnte man auch als Erklärung anfügen) Ich würde eher auf "survey", verzichten, vor allem dann, wenn dies aus dem übrigen Text zwangslos hervorgeht, als auf Satellit. |
