Right, in that business usage, I think it's important to get right away from the origial, literal meaning and choose a marketing-type expression that is appropriate in the target language — as so often, this is really more target-language advertising copy-writing than actual translation!

I think the source term is not terribly well chosen in the first place (maybe this is EN-US?) in a context of industrial pumps, and I think you should be able to find a much better solution in FR.

For the original source text, I'd have been tempted in the first place to choose something more along the lines of "our pumps really deliver" (get the pun?), maybe you could find something along those lines in FR?

It's a slogan for an ad which is trying to promote the company's products (motor drives). They are trying to say that by using their products, clients are bringing home more bacon because the motor drives help reduce downtime, increase productivity, etc.

Depends on context!

These days, it's rarely used with its literal meaning, far more frequently in a figurative sense, typically in a business context.
