Un logement peut faire l'objet d'une saisie pour dettes, d'une confiscation, d'une réquisition pour des travaux d'interêt général ou encore d'une condamnation pour insalubrité ou non-conformité aux normes de construction.
Ici, il semble s'agir d'une première étape à l'encontre de ce logement. C'est pourquoi je privilegie, dans la traduction, la mesure la moins dure, celle sur laquelle on peut encore revenir, lcommebilbest expliqué dans la source que cite Daryo, à savoir la condamnation.
J'ai personnellement vu l'appartement de mes voisins condamné (insalubrité et non-conformité du logement pour une jeune fille se déplaçanten fauteuilroulant), puis réaffecté à la location.
Voilà ce qui me fait pencher pour cette proposition.

Unlikely to the UK, although condemned property is not necessarily a prelude to expropriation and is a process different to the USA entailing eminent domain or BrE compulsory purchase.

Condemnation Event means any condemnation or other taking or temporary or permanent requisition of any property, any interest therein or right appurtenant thereto, or any change of grade affecting any property, as the result of the exercise of any right of condemnation or eminent domain. A transfer to a Governmental Authority in lieu or anticipation of condemnation shall be deemed to be a Condemnation Event.

Condemnation Event means any act of taking by a public or quasi-public authority through condemnation, reverse condemnation or eminent domain.
