English term or phrase: application of this grant
Bonjour,
Il s'agit d'un testament et je ne comprends pas bien comment traduire le mot "grant" dans ce contexte : " it is hereby certified that it appears from information supplied on the application for this *gran*t that the gross value of the said estate in England and Wales amounts to xxx and the net value of such estate amounts to xxx."
*Grant" de la High Court of Justice - The District Probate Registry.
Merci beaucoup

Explanation:
All refs. disappeared on a PC freeze-up, but there are at least 5 grants of representation and not just two, as in the web ref., besides which the shorthand of 'grant' had been a common out-of-English translators' probate query in 'my day'.

Unable to work in either part, I'll leave someone else to run with the ball of agir en qualité or la qualité d'exécuteur testamentaire.

neutral  Daryo: "émission-ci" sounds odd in French - "demande d'octroie" would be far closer to the mark // otherwise, yes.
3 hrs
-> Yes. You're right. Octroi works both with lettres and pouvoir.
