J'ai besoin de votre aide pour la traduction du terme en objet (en opposition avec "lead") dans le contexte de génrateur de vapeur Babcock Swanson suivant:

The sequence control panel supervises the operation of two steam generators, starting and stopping the steam generator units as required to meet the demands of the process.
When the steam pressure is satisfactory, the selected ‘lead’ steam generator unit operates on its own, and the ‘lag’ unit(s) remain(s) on standby.
