member of the Samband party Explanation: The Samband party on the Faroes was founded in 1906 http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Færøernes_historie Scroll down to 'National vækkelse' I am not sure what the Samband party is called in English. A parallel in modern Danish - relatively at least - is calling a member of the Venstre party (the Danish Liberal Party) a Venstremand. |
