I am looking for lists of food additives (E-numbers) in different languages, but not the EU languages (which are already present at www.fooddictionary.eu), such as Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Chinese, Albanian, Hebrew etc... The wikipedia page on E numbers - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_number - is available in several other languages, including Russian and Arabic. I'm not sure how authoritative the translations are, of course, but it might be some help, at least. Neil | | |
There are some translations, but the lists are not complete. Only a few wikis are complete, and those are the EU languages. The best data are from the official EU documents and those were the sources for www.fooddictionary.eu. But I would presume that in other national food laws there are similar lists. In Brazil, the food manufacturers use INS numbers, which are exactly the same as E-numbers. So E-102 (tartrazine) is INS-102, E-621 (monosodium glutamate) is INS-621, and so on. | |
