¿Qué son los BIS?
Los BIS son un nuevo modelo de financiamiento a través del pago por resultados que generan efectividad, conocimiento y transformación en el gasto social y la inversión de impacto. Colombia fue el primer país en vía de desarrollo en desarrollar un bono de este tipo.
Es importante resaltar que estos bonos son diferentes a los bonos sociales que se emiten en el mercado de capitales. De acuerdo con la líder de SIBs.CO, Laura Casas, la diferencia principal recae en que los BIS son contratos de pago por resultados y se asemejan a alianzas público-privadas que tienen el propósito de atacar problemas sociales.
