ETIQUETA DE ALARMA
Rosa Paredes Jul 12, 2009:
original What is the original term that you are translating as 'security tag'?
Caspar Zoeftig (asker) Jul 12, 2009:
It is an instruction manual describing how to attach security tags to items of clothing. Unfortunately, there is no more context I can provide. It is part of the title at the beginning.
Rosa Paredes Jul 12, 2009:
security? Could you provide some text? What type of clothing is it? Are they talking about PPE? Security does not seem to be the proper term here.

sewn-in security labels

Garments labels are sewn in at the factory, so one can create a hyphenated adjective implying at what point in the manufacturing process the security label becomes part of the garment.
Example sentence:

Sewn-in garment labels help reduce the amount of knock-offs on the open maket.

labeled at source

"Etiqueta de alarma' sounds like machine translation to me, so does 'alarmado en origen'. I think what is meant is 'Warning label" or maybe 'Caution'. I suggest to play it safe and avoid mentioning what type of label (which we don't know) this really is. Suerte
