Spanish term

"paciente completo"

Spanish to English Other Medical: Pharmaceuticals
Se pagará como "paciente completo" todos aquellos que hayan sido excluidos por falta de eficacia o por efecto adverso.

En un ensayo clinico.

A 'paciente completo' is one who is classified as having completed the trial, even though they may not have actually followed the full course of the trial, but it's not the trial's fault that they were unable to complete the trial, so the researchers get paid.

I have checked for 'complete patient', and UNLESS someone can offer CONCLUSIVE evidence that this is the term used (which I haven't been able to confirm), PLEASE don't suggest it! Yes, there are 000s of hits for 'complete patient', but it's 'complete patient' PLUS something else.

TIA:-)

Thank you, Henry
agree Gabriel Aguirre : that's quite a pickle; "patient that followed through" sounds best. Word for word seems to be in order by your examples.
