Spanish term or phrase: Id. Signos de...
I am currently translating some medical reports from the Dominican Republic. This particular phrase keeps popping up in relation to medical imaging. Sometimes it appears as "Id." with a period and other times without the period, but always with "Signos" with a capital S immediately after.

Is this shorthand for "indica"? That would be my best bet, and it would appear to work in context, but I thought I'd ask here to get a second opinion. Plus the capitalization is throwing me off.

Thanks in advance!

Impresión diagnóstica

Explanation:
In the Dominican Republic, doctors will often use Px for "paciente", Dx for "diagnóstico", and Id for "impresión diagnóstica". I've come across the term when working in hospitals before.

Example sentence(s):
  • Id. Signos de daño renal

agree  Joseph Tein: Sounds good; it matches what I said in my comment about the Cosnautas entry.

neutral  Chema Nieto Castañón: Impresión diagnóstica es una posibilidad. Sin embargo seguido de "Signos" sería plausible en las conclusiones de un informe radiográfico, por ejemplo, pero no parece ser el caso general aquí de acuerdo al limitado contexto. Seguridad 5 así no razonable.
