Thanks Wendell. Sorry if I stole your answer but you didn't propose it. I understand what you mean: "blood clotting" has a more negative sense to be a side effect than "coagulation" which may be a normal process.

: Still, "blood clotting" or "blood clots" sounds much more English to me./coagulation is English, but it doesn't belong in a list of side effects. Coagulation is neutral; blood clots are something to be avoided.

coagulation is a standard medical term, "even" for English mother tongues; In medicine, there are not "neutral" terms and I found it so many times as "coagulation" in the list of side effects (EMEA on the top) that your statement makes me smile

Yes, it is right...usually it is mentioned as "coagulation disorders".
I have to admit, blood clotting would be more appropriate and less ambiguos in this case
