This is a description of findings on echocardiography. Context:
...keine signif. LVH-Zeichen erkennbar, Klappen zart und frei beweglich, keine Thromben...

I recall once having heard that this means 'normal valves' (not tender ...) Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks so much!

normal heart valves

yes, you are right, it means that valves are normal, no coarse fluttering is detected, no vegetations (as in endocarditis), calcifications and the like...

'tender' is not used in this context. perhaps 'delicate', but that may have negative connotations [ in the sense of 'frail']...

delicate valves

The valves are delicate, which means no thickening or sclerosis or other signs of abnormality.

Thank you!
neutral Lirka : if you read my additional note, that's what I mentioned, too, but with a reservation

I guess I overlooked your additional note - but why would you have reservations - delicate is used quite frequently in the context of heart valves and leaflets, has nothing to do with being frail

agree Gisela Greenlee : maybe they are tender, but that's not the term to describe a heart valve (unless you are eating it).
