penso si intenda il profilo, termine preso a prestito da altro settore
Per ottenere laminati piani è fondamentale lavorare già a monte nella laminazione a caldo delle placche: la
misura del “crown”, ossia il profilo di spessore misurato sulla larghezza dei laminati a caldo e la sua forma,
rappresenta un prerequisito fondamentale per ottenere successivi laminati a freddo piani.

Per ottenere laminati piani è fondamentale lavorare già a monte nella laminazione a caldo delle placche: la
misura del “crown”, ossia il profilo di spessore misurato sulla larghezza dei laminati a caldo e la sua forma,
rappresenta un prerequisito fondamentale per ottenere successivi laminati a freddo piani.

| Cari colleghi, innanzitutto scusate il ritardo con cui rispondo. "Machined crown" potrebbe anche essere un elemento del mobilio che ne copre "tops" un altro, eg protecting - floors, hands, etc - from sharp edges ma in questo caso sembrerebbe essere più una design feature like a beveled edge così ho proposto la soluzione "profilo rifinito". L'altra soluzione è molto tecnica ma non si prestava al contesto della brochure |

io credo si voglia indicare il tipo di taglio effettuato, proprio perché sono bordi esposti.
“For cutting acrylic, the teeth of the saw blade should have the triple-chip design, where the cutting edge of every other tooth is beveled. The beveled tooth, or crown tooth, removes the material in the center of the cut while the flat-top raker tooth follows behind, removing material from the edges of the cut. This results in the production of three separate “chips” – center, left side and right side – and hence, the term triple-chip design. On some designs, the flat-top raker tooth also has very slight bevels along the top side-edges of the tooth. This helps to reduce chipping by reducing the notching affect caused by a square cutting edge.”
