तड़ित् या बिजली संजीव जी, आप ठीक कह रहे हैं। मुझे पता है कि यह यंत्र आसमान से गिरनेवाली बिजली से ही रक्षा करता है। अलबत्ता, मैं 'तड़ित् या बिजली' लिखना चाहता था जिसे भूलवश 'तड़ित और बिजली' लिख गया। तड़ित् को बोलचाल में बिजली ही कहते हैं, जैसे बिजली कड़क रही है, बिजली गिरने से उसकी मृत्यु हो गई, आदि। फिर भी, चर्चा में स्पष्टीकरण हेतु यह प्रसंग उठाने के लिए आपका धन्यवाद.

रावल जी यह यंत्र केवल आसमानी बिजली अर्थात तडि़त् गिरने पर रक्षा करता है और तारों में चल रही बिजली में आनेवाली तेजी से इसका कोई लेना-देना नहीं होता है और यह उस वक्‍त कोई कार्य नहीं करता।

विद्युत नियामक

क्योंकि यह हिंदी अनुवाद के लिये अपेक्षाकृत नया प्रश्न है, अत: इसके लिये बहुत सारे संदर्भ मिलना मुश्किल है। फिर भी, इस उपकरण द्वारा किये जाने वाले आकाशीय या मानव निर्मित विद्युत का तीव्र झटका रोकने के कार्य को देखते हुए मुझे इसके लिये नियामक शब्द उचित लगता है।
