Respondent answer in toilet paper survey, no doubt explaining their answer or making a suggestion for improvement.
Here it does not seem to be a nickname. It's not in the Alternative Dutch Dictionary.
Respondent's complete answer: dat hondje natuurlijk. wie wil er nou niet een puppy langs zijn poeperd halen?

: hmm, is bum really equivalent to the anatomical part that is covered by "poeperd" and the poor puppy?

Comment: "Thanks everyone! (although actually Margreet was the 1st to give the actual sense of the sentence - but not the slang word equivalent. And personally I think 'wiping your bum with a puppy' subverts the advertising wittily.)"

anus
I'll leave it to you to find an English equivalent ;-)
Translation of the whole sentence:
the little dog , of course. Who would not want to wipe their anus with a puppy? (yikes!)

No need to apologise, I figured if Robert knew what part of the body was meant, he'd find his own words for it. Have a nice weekend!

wipe your rusty dusty with this rusty puppy
klopt niet echt, maar voor het geval je wat rijmklank wilt mee-vertalen, zou dit misschien kunnen, te meer daar men in Angelsaksische landen in namen van dieren vaak kleuren verwerkt.

: Although this gave me a really good laugh, I think it's too 'free' a translation. Very creative though!

Considering the other question as well, I wasn't too much convinced about the seriousness of the survey.

poo hole
Just trying to give a anatomically correct alternative without being (too) gross. I'm not native english, but I hope this conveys the humorous undertone of "poeperd", if that is possible.

A short comment. There's a reason why 'poeperd' is not in your dictionary: it's hardly ever used by (sobre and sane) Dutch either. People use 'billen', which I would most definitely translate as bum. Using 'poeperd' makes the given answer ludicrous and ridiculous. 'Bum' would give it too much credit, in my opinion. I don't know if 'poo hole' is what you need, but I would try to find something less harmless than bum. Anyway, good luck!

As I said myself, I'm not native english, so you might well be right. Just 1) making clear what poeperd exactly means and 2) giving alternatives so Robert can choose. I think he himself is native english, so no problem there...
