general building services & maintenance
As a department name, 'techniek' often corresponds to 'building services & maintenance' in English, or (in an industial context) 'engineering services'. Given the list in the source text, I'd go for 'building services' or 'technical services & maintenance'.

Cross-section of the technical rooms
Declined
I think that like your next question the spelling leaves a lot to be desired. I would translate this as above.
Comment: "Sorry Kate, this has nothing to do with a cross-section. "traverse" (which I think is the rights spelling, refers to the technology, so its probably cross-departmental."

Dutch term (edited):
traverse techniek
interdepartmental (technical) services
1) No doubt about the spelling error! There's no word like 'traferse' in either Flemish or Dutch. (petchruimte/patchruimte obviously is a similar error - hardly typos!)
2) 'interdepartmental': 1,290,000 Google hits
3) Depending on further context etc. 'technical' may well be redundant!
