Dutch term

The immigration service plus other government agencies/bodies jointly responsible for the immigration policy. Is there a standard English term for this or should I just translate this with immigration service?

agree Deborah do Carmo : it is clearly not the Authority(ies) but a wider grouping of other organisations and interest groups working together for a common goal

neutral Sherefedin MUSTAFA : Could you please propose ONE SINGLE link (beside the links of the Dutch Immigration authorities) where IMMIGRATION CHAIN is used in the same way you suggest? Google speaks volumes!// Information authorities?!!

as soon as you post 1 link showing that Vreemdelingenketen means information authorities. you haven't shown that at all. on the contrary
agree Arsen Nazarian : IOM (International Office for Migration) is also involved in immigration tasks and is not a Dutch government authority, as far as I know. (Please don't take this as joining the campaign against your suggestion, Mustafa)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you. I think this is the best translation since this term applies to the Dutch situation only anyway. There is some sort of explanation at the beginning of the document which will make clear what is meant to an English speaking audience."

A short notice for Deborah do Carmo:

What do you think the translation of this word acording to Eurodicautom (http://europa.eu.int/eurodicautom/Controller) is?

Let me help you find it out:
Dutch: Project Coördinatie Vreemdelingenketen (beoogt meer samenwerking tussen organisaties die te maken hebben met de toelating, controle en opvang van vreemdelingen)
English translation:
Immigration Coordination Project.
=================

Vreemdelingenketen is simply translated by: Immigration.

That is the reason I thought: Immigration Authorities could be a reasonable translation of this specific Dutch term.
If you desagree whith a proposed translation, try to propose a better one.

Good luck to the asker in finding the right solution!

disagree Deborah do Carmo : this is not the translation - have you got references to back this up, bearing in mind it is a specific project?//VPUHING: do you work in Dutch? Doesn't appear to be the case.

neutral writeaway : suggest you read the kudoz rules, no 4.2 http://www.proz.com/index.php?sp=about/kudoz&show_mode=kudoz... the Eurodicatom answer has nothing to do with yours, which does happen to be inaccurate/campaign against your answer????????????????????????????

I kindly ask you to stop your campaign against my suggestion. It is only a proposal and nothing more. It is up to the asker to choose the translation that he/she needs or considers most suitable to his/her needs.
