This is on an echocardiography report. There is no further sentence or context, it is not referred to again in the text.
I know the TI is tricuspid insufficiency, but am not sure what is meant by 'pufje'. Does this mean that the TI appears as a 'little puff', or something else?
Thank you!

Some examples from aortic and bicuspid regurgitation (insufficiency), but similarities can be drawn to tricuspid insufficiency / regurgitation:
E.g. "Patients with multiple or diffuse regurgitant jets were excluded, and the value of VC-W with these jets cannot be determined." (ref: http://www.circ.ahajournals.org/cgi/content/full/102/5/558)
E.g. "We describe a patient with chronic aortic regurgitation and moderately severe left ventricular dysfunction whose echocardiographic study revealed striking clouds of smokelike blood billowing in discrete puffs from the area of the mitral inflow tract toward the cardiac apex early in each diastole."

: Without more context I would guess the pt. took a "pufje" or an inhalation of his / her respiratory medication and then proceeded with the examination. Don't know what the TI stands for, though.
