Dutch term

sfeerverhaal

Dutch to English Marketing Marketing CRM - direct mail
again, from CRM chapter on direct mail:
Na opening van de envelop, kan de relatie geconfronteerd worden met een eventueel persoonlijk getinte brief en bijgaande folders of catalogi. Een grote hoeveelheid informatie kan aan de ontvanger worden overgedragen, welke specifiek op zijn of haar behoeften zijn afgestemd.
Ook kan direct mail tot op zekere hoogte thematisch worden ingezet; het imago kan met teksten (***sfeerverhalen***) en beelden worden gecommuniceerd.
Thanks!

evocative article, account

A 'sfeerverhaal' is designed to evoke a certain response from the reader (usually a fuzzy, warm feeling inside!), so I would suggest an 'evocative article'. I think an 'evocative account' would also work if you add what it is an account of.

-> "The October 2001 issue of Condé Nast Traveler brings an extensive feature on Prague. The evocative article, which is accompanied by beautiful photographs (as one would expect from CNT) also features new restaurant and hotel tips."

-> "Recently, Richard Neville wrote in Business Review Weekly an evocative article entitled "Are you ready for a global tax office?" His thesis was essentially that..."

-> "Written by the father of Martin Bell MP this evocative account of a year spent on a Suffolk farm in 1920 remains as fresh and vivid as when it was written seventy years ago."

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "This was a tough one - I'm going with 'evocative accounts/texts' on this one as it involves direct mail packets and I think this is the most appropriate here. Thanks to Marijke and Vixen as well!"

atmospheric stories

Director Frank Borzage won an Oscar for his 1927 film 7th Heaven, and he used the same two leading stars for this similar, richly atmospheric story of the redemptive power of love.

Or perhaps: atmospheric descriptions

"Aren't Infocom games brilliant?" writes Dave Harvard of Fareham "...One of the things I like most about Infocom adventures is the lack of word matching exercises. I really do believe that if you let yourself get drawn in by the atmospheric descriptions and responses, the solutions to most problems are quite obvious.

\'Feel-good stories\' may be another option.

To whom will the FII sell the stock? Other FIIs would have also perceived that this stock has reached its full value and will not buy. Here now the chances are that the small investor can be lured in as the fall guy. And we have seasoned brokers who can lead these investors into the honey trap by selling \'feel-good\' stories.
