Dutch term

schouwcabine

Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Livestock / Animal Husbandry chicken farming
I'm pulling up a blank on this one. Apparently (from what little I found on Google) it is some kind of enclosure with bright lights to check eggs in mass-producing chicken farms by shining light through them, so bad ones can be filtered out? I've tried several "guesses" in English but none of them come up with decent reference material relating to this specific machine.

(egg) candler

Candling: egg-grading process in which the egg is inspected before a penetrating light in a darkened room for signs of fertility, defects, or freshness. First used to check embryo development in eggs being incubated, candling is used in modern commercial egg production primarily to rate quality.

egg inspection device or egg candling device

In the olden days, eggs used to be inspected by holding them up to candle light. The process was called candling and although candle light is no longer used, the name has stuck.
