More context YYY is suing XXX for wrongfully breaking off negotiations concerning YYY's offer to provide services to XXX. Sorry, but I can't be more specific because of confidentiality. This deal doesn't really concern an acquisition, which is why "acquisitief" has me scratching my head. I wonder if it's just a throwaway term, and "can be normally expected according to standard practices" would cover it.

"Naar verkeersopvattingen" means "In standard business practice".

It means 'normally, with regards to the acquisition' - XXX is held to cover the expenses of YYY because of the negotiations with XXX, which evidently exceeded the normal costs, according to what YYY expected with regards to the acquisition transactions ('te verwachten normaal acquisitief transactieverkeer').
Verkeersopvattingen, I am assuming, here means expectations regarding (normal) transactions. And I seem to be right:
