"Diensten moeten passen in de architectuur van de organisatie: de data- (datamodellen), applicatie- (opbouw van applicaties, interfaces, datalagen, landschappen"
I can't seem to find the appropriate term here for datalagen. Google gives me only Scandinavian hits.
Thanks for any help.

In Google, "datalaag" (singular) does produce results in Dutch :-), some of which refer to GIS. A search for "GIS data layers" confirmed the term, in the context of GIS, at least.

Persistence layers

Persistence layers, eg.

De manier waarop deze worden opgeslagen in de database komt hier totaal niet aan te pas. Dit is de taak van de persistance layer (data-laag).

\"There are quite a number of object persistence layers for Java (Torque, Hibernate, Castor, and OJB to name a few); however, there are very few solutions that even provide very basic O/R mapping for PHP. In our original research these were the few persistence layers that seemed most developed in PHP, etc.\"

neutral Ken Cox : certainly seems to be correct based on the first reference; the only question is whether the author of the document knows this... (can you have multiple persistence layers?)

That's a fair point - I've added some more references above addressing this issue
