Wordt gebruikt om paneermeel of een ander 'korstvormend' middel te doen hechten aan het oppervlak van iets eetbaars (bijvoorbeeld losgeklopt ei: haal de met twee lepels in vorm gebrachte kroket door bloem, dan door losgeklopt ei en vervolgens door paneermeel).

I agree, Jack, but in most recipes in renowned English cookery books ( the Conran, Delia Smith, Alan Davidson, Madhur Jaffrey etc.) there is not really one term for it. The action is usually described (cover with (dip in) beaten egg, coat with beaten egg)
