Dutch term
eigentemperatuur
Dutch to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering
I suspect it is similar to "eigengewicht" which is easy to find the translation for, but I am not sure, and doing some searches on the web also didn't really yield any results, and there is no further explanation/context than the sentence below to help me.
The sentence is:
"Indien in de beschouwde buigtrekzone scheurvorming toelaatbaar is, behoeft de invloed van **eigentemperatuur** en de daaruit volgende eigenspanningen daar niet in rekening te worden gebracht."

temperature variations
That is at least what the text describes (the temperature of a concrete beam).

Comment: "Thanks. This must be it, as it is exactly that context; one of those odd, completely different translations, it seems :)"
