Dutch term

bijstort

Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Agriculture animal feed factory / silos
Appears in a quality audit report on a animal feed factory:

1) 'De meeste toevoegingsmiddelen worden gedoseerd via weger 5 (100 kg), via bijstort op het glv. of via een bijstort voor gemedicineerde voormengsels net boven de menger.'

2) 'Aan de randen van de bijstort op het gelijkvloers was oud product aangekoekt van vorige bijstorten.'

What would be the English term for this?

Many thanks in advance!

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Dear Hans, Henk (and Saskia and Elise), Thank you for your solutions. I would like to split the Kudoz here, but do not know how to do it. Hans, you are right in that 'bijstort' refers in some parts of the text I am translating to the feeder / inlet (pipe). However, Henk rightly points out that 'bijstorten' should be understood as 'additional supply' (or 'added supplies'). I only discovered this ambiguity after going through the text again after reading your suggestions. Again, many thanks! ;-)"

addition, additional supply

I think they don't mean the equipment, but the addition itself.
The phrase 'was oud product aangekoekt de vorige bijstorten' refers to the addition itself instead of to the equipment, in my opinion. However, there's a little change they mean the (result of the operation of) older equipment with 'vorige bijstorten.
I wonder if 'addition' is the best translation for bijstort. The 'bij' is translated properly, but the stort is vanished.
The food is often poured down from jack screws into the through, smaller storage bin or so.
additional pour?
additional cast?
casted addition?

Hans:
in \'aan de randen van de bijstort is \' de bijstort de plaats waar de bijstort is terechtgekomen.

Voor jouw versie hade er moeten staan \'.....via weger 5 (100 kg), via DE / EEN bijstort op het glv......\'

neutral Hans G. Liepert : en hoe verklaar je "aan de randen van de bijstort" (volgens jouw verklaring is bijstort immers een handeling en geen voorziening)?
