Danish term

slås b ravt

Danish to English Marketing Marketing
This is more of an idiomatic phrase than a single word: "Man slås bravt om markedet i øjeblikket."
I know it relates to a fight over/for the market, but I clearly want to get it right.
TIA
Andy

Depends on context

- i.e. on who "man" is/are. Competing firms in general or one particular firm. If the former, "competition is fierce" is fine (and "slås bravt" is actually nonsense), but if you're describing one particular firm's brave, determined struggle, something like "putting up a brave fight" fits better.

The correct phrase in Danish is "kæmpe bravt" which means "fight stoutly" according to Vinterberg & Bodelsen.
