patent application
Can someone help me figure out how to translate this phrase into Dutch. This is from a patent application. Here is an example that is very similar to my own context:
"6. The method according to any one of the preceding claims 1-5, characterized in that said lipids comprises minor plasma lipids, wherein said minor plasma lipids are preferably chosen from the group of palmitoyl ethanolamide (PEA), stearoyl ethanolamide (SEA), arachidonoyl ethanolamide (AEA), and wherein a total concentration of minor plasma lipids is between 5 and 50 nmo1/1." (https://patents.google.com/patent/CA3145854A1 )
I'm mainly puzzling over the use of the word "minor" here.

minimale plasmalipiden
In this context, "minor plasma lipids" refers to a specific subset of lipids present in plasma. The term "minor" indicates that these lipids are present in lower concentrations compared to other lipids.
In Dutch, the translation "minimale plasmalipiden" accurately captures the meaning of "minor plasma lipids" in this technical and scientific context.

: Where does it say minimum target values?? Verder bestaan er voor de plasmalipiden waar hier naar wordt verwezen helemaal geen officiële streefwaarden.

: Er staat niet "minimum", maar "minor". En zie ook Barends reactie hierop.

Discussion
minor plasma lipid =
in lage concentratie aanwezige plasmalipiden [in het Engels: minor plasma lipids]
the first time, and then just "in lage concentratie aanwezige plasmalipiden" after that
I've also asked my client and will report back if they have anything interesting to say!
In a further embodiment, said plasma comprises minor plasma lipids.
In a preferred embodiment of current invention, said minor plasma lipids are chosen from the group of palmitoyl ethanolamide (PEA), stearoyl ethanolamide (SEA), arachidonoyl ethanolamide (AEA).
It was found that the presence of this level of (phospho)lipids in the plasma provides coagulation activities. In an embodiment, the total concentration of minor plasma lipids in the mammalian plasma is between 5 and 50 nmol/l, more preferably between 6 and 30 nmol/l.
In a more preferred embodiment of the invention, said composition comprises PEA, SEA and AEA, wherein each lipid is present at a concentration of between 0.2 and 14 nmol/l. In a further embodiment, each minor plasma lipid is present at a concentration between 0.5 and 12 nmol/l, more preferably between 0.8 and 8.5 nmol/l.

Although I don't agree with Chat-GPT's suggested translation, its initial statement seems to make sense:
'In this context, "minor plasma lipids" refers to a specific subset of lipids present in plasma. The term "minor" indicates that these lipids are present in lower concentrations compared to other lipids.'
In addition to diacyl glycerophosphocholine and sphingomyelin, human plasma also contains small amounts of other glycerophospholipids, which may have special metabolic function. The structure and origin of these minor plasma lipids has not been determined.

"Different minor abundance plasma lipids significantly influence thrombin generation in vitro and significant differences in such lipids are linked to risk for venous thrombosis. Some plasma sphingolipids including glucosylceramide, lyso-sulfatide and sphingosine have anticoagulant properties whereas, conversely, some plasma phospholipid derivatives, including certain lyso-phospholipids and ethanolamides, have procoagulant properties.
