How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Já agora, pelo que entendo, os três tipos permitem distinguir civilizações que conseguem unicamente capturar a energia que chega ao seu planeta (tipo I), das que conseguem capturar toda a energia que radia do seu sol (tipo II), e das que, por sua vez, conseguem capturar toda energia emitida pela galáxia (tipo III).

Porém o mais intuitivo no contexto maior é "níveis", já que o autor do texto nesse ponto procura explicar tão somente onde nos situamos na escala, sem sugerir quais são as etapas para se passar duma civilização I a uma II e duma civilização II a uma III. É só posteriormente que ele propõe refletir sobre isso. De qualquer forma, a sugestão foi útil. |

Minha sugestão seria algo menos literal, por exemplo: A Escala de Kardashev foi proposta por Nikolai Kardashev [...] e classificava o nível de progresso de uma civilização hipotética.
