It's about the habits of farmland birds (it's the transcription of an interview, so it's quite informal). They are talking about which bird species occur in different crops and then they use these terms as examples:
"For example, in this citrus orchid but also in olive orchids or in cereals."
I never heard of anything like that in Brazilian Portuguese...

o comentário do Vitor realmente faz sentido, principalmente que o texto relata '...which bird species occur in different crops...' lavouras e, em seguida, orquídeas? '...citrus orchid...', seguindo o pensamento do Vitor 'citrus orchard', se encaixa. :)
1. Qual o sentido de comparar os hábitos dos pássaros entre a orquídea A e B (que são semelhantes) e depois com os cereais? Parece fazer mais sentido entre os citrinos, as oliveiras e os cereais (que são os três diferentes).
2. Creio que as orquídeas são flores plantadas e criadas em estufa. Como é que os pássaros lá vão?
É que eu ainda nem sequer consegui encontrar na net nenhuma imagem de uma "citrus orchid"...
