Dear all,
I am translating a release letter for a prisoner based in Peru. It states the prison the person is currently based in, and that they came there from the "establecimiento transitorio de Lima".
I am unsure of the correct translation of this kind of place in English and have been unable to find any mentions of this particular place online.
Would a translation of Lima Transit Centre be acceptable or is there a more widely used term?
Any advice much appreciated.

Así lo pondría yo, ya que "transitional" da la idea de que es un lugar de paso hacia otro y "penitentiary" hace referencia al sistema penitenciario al que pertenece.
