Hi,

This is from a Mexican legal document.

When written after an address in Spanish, i.e. 'Calle Madrid S/N', does it mean 'no number' and is that how it would be correctly translated into English?

Phil is correct in that "unnumbered" is not usually included in a translation. The form suggested in the link I cited is as following:
unnumbered addresses:
Unnumbered Address will not have a house (address) number before the street name. Its components are the following:

The street name, whose characters may be alphanumeric
An optional community name with characters that are alphanumeric. (There may be a 'comma' and a space preceding it.)
An optional state code/name may appear preceded by a 'comma' and a space. This code must be preceded by a community name.

I disagree with the majority view. Yes, of course it means "unnumbered", but you wouldn't translate it, just as you wouldn't say "Madrid Street" for "Calle Madrid". You should leave it as S/N.

No Number

You are right. S/N in an address in Spanish means that the house or building has no number. I wouldn't know how to indicate that in an address in English.

Colleagues are on track, but this is what I use in translations to save space, "w/o No.".

"No No." would be accurate but looks very strange.
