wind turbines
Hi. I'd appreciate your help with this term.
This text is regarding wind turbines.
Context:
"¿Qué diferencia hay entre turbinas de eje vertical y de eje horizontal?
Eje horizontal (HAWT – Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine)
Thanks
Robert

aircraft helical effect
I'm pretty sure this refers to disturbance to the field of air as a result of the rotation of the blades. It's a specific comparison to the noise/distortion caused by aircraft propellers. See references for further explanation.
Example sentence:
The propeller blades produce a rotating slipstream tube with a diameter equal to that of the propeller disc and a helical effect that increases as forward speed increases. (ref. 2)

Aerodynamic noise
Yes, it has to do with the blades (propellers), but generally the wind farm industry would use aerodynamic noise to describe it.
"Sources of wind turbine noise are either aerodynamic or mechanical. Aerodynamic noise is produced by the interaction of the wind and the blades. Mechanical noise, on the other hand, is caused by the meshing of the gears and the whir of the generator."
Hope this helps!
and
"Their report concluded that the complaints were not caused by low frequency noise, but by amplitude modulation of aerodynamic noise (AM) from the wind turbines".
